KYWC News: June 2024

Happy June,

We have a lot going on at the Center this season. We have two workshops, Healing Sunday, and yoga classes for you to enjoy this month. We hope you join us.

Help! We need a contractor to drywall and paint Steve’s apartment ceiling. It was damaged when the roof leaked after the big wind storm. This work can be done as soon as the new roof is finished – hopefully within the next few weeks. Contact Steve at 315-583-5500 to set up a time to look at the job and provide an estimate. Thanks.

Classes and Events

An Evening of Breathwork

We invite you to join us for an evening of breathwork with Nichole Fuller on June 11th at 6:30 pm. Breathwork can improve mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Some benefits include:

  • Stress reduction – by activating the body’s relaxation response, breathwork can help lower blood pressure, heart rate, and stress hormones while increasing calmness.
  • Feeling less anxious, depressed, angry, and confused.
  • Improved focus, energy, and stamina due to increased oxygen capacity in the blood.
  • Better quality sleep.
  • Reduced tension in your muscles.
  • Detoxification of toxins and impurities.

  • THURSDAYS: Yoga Tone and Sculpt (6:15-7:30 pm)

Chair Yoga with Jean

Experience all the benefits of yoga with the assistance of a chair, including breathwork, postures, meditation, and restorative elements. Most postures are done from a seated position with a few standing or lying down on a mat using the chair for balance. Chair yoga is good for everyone and especially good for individuals with physical limitations that make yoga practice difficult without having a chair for support. This practice improves strength, flexibility, mindfulness, and an overall sense of well-being.

Tuesdays from 1 pm – 2:15 pm June – July 23rd.  Please contact Jean at jeanmarieta@hotmail.com to register.

Yoga for EveryBody with Jeri

Relax, Rejuvenate, and Restore with yoga for EveryBody. Beginners and advanced students are welcome.

Wednesdays: 4:30-5:45. Sign up via text to Jeri at 315.778.7505. No drop-ins. 4 students minimum per class.
