Hello Friends,
Happy September and Happy Labor Day!
It happens every year around this time – Fall announces itself with hints of red, orange, and yellow. Vacations give way to the start of a new school year for teachers and students of all ages.
There is something about autumn, a favorite season for many of us. Shorter days, cooler nights and the beauty of the leaves brings a calmer, more reflective energy we can feel within ourselves.
Fall also brings the comfort of knowing that even though darker, colder days are ahead (okay, lots of them!) Earth’s patterns and seasons continue on schedule in an unending cycle. Brighter, warm days are ahead. We can count on order, harmony and a rhythm in the universe, regardless of the what is going on in our lives and in the workings of humankind. And so are these seasons evident in our own lives as well.
Upcoming Special Event
For you students of the metaphysical and spiritual, KYWC is happy once again to be the venue for two days of classes with Reverend Jean and Richard Toward on Saturday and Sunday, September 23-24, 2017.
Saturday’s topic: Consciousness as related to your psychic and spiritual path.
Sunday’s topic: Interpreting sacred writings. The Towards will share and interpret writings from different traditions. You are invited to bring sacred passages that are meaningful and/or mysterious to you.
Time: 10am-5pm
Cost: $100 for both days.
This event is hosted by the Center for Spiritual Awareness. Pre-registration is encouraged but not necessary. (Knowing how many people are coming helps us set up the right number of tables and chairs for this very popular event!). Call Reverend Denise Knott to let her know you are coming. 315-298-3734.
