KYWC June Classes and Events

Hello and Happy Summer! Welcome back snowbirds and summer residents. We look forward to seeing you at our classes and events. 🙂

June 21st is the International Day of Yoga. This special day was approved by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in 2015. Yoga has been popular in India since the 5th century BCE and the word “yoga” began to appear in the Vedic Scripture at that time. Yoga made its way to the West in the late 1800s and has gained an enthusiastic following for its physical and mental health benefits.

We invite you to experience the benefits of yoga at KYWC with our certified teachers. Our classes are suitable for a variety of skill levels and needs. Not sure which class is right for you? Feel free to experiment or call the center and we’ll guide you.

Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world, and nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help in well being.— Narendra Modi (UNGA)
